Welcome to the 2016 BHCP Swim Team!
Welcome back to all our swimmers! We are excited to begin another great season at BHCP!
A special welcome to all our new teammates as well! We are sure you will have a great experience this summer as a member of our team.
The BHCP Swim Team is open to all BHCP members age 5-18. No prior experience is necessary. Our competitors range from first-timers to year-round, National-level swimmers. We compete in the North Jersey Summer Swim League Division 2. The season consists of 8 dual meets plus a Championship Meet.
Due to the size of our team and a desire to have each swimmer get to swim as much as possible, we will again have two competition teams - the Blue Team and the White Team. Placement on these teams is determined by the coaches based primarily on results from Time Trials that are held early in the season.
In the 2016 season, we will continue having a third team titled the “Pre Team”. This team will be made up of any swimmers who will not compete in the meets. This team will be great for swimmers who are new to competitive swimming and can work on their strokes for the season while still being part of the BHCP Swim Team.
Our mission is help each swimmer maximize their ability in a team-oriented, fun environment. We accomplish this through swimmer-specific training and competition with other teams, while maintaining a fun-filled atmosphere full of team parties and other special events. Many of the swimmers who start out on the BHCP team go on to compete at high school and college levels.
Swim team pre-season practice starts a few weeks before school is out, weather permitting, with practices after school. Daily regular season practice starts Wednesday, June 22. For the daily practice schedule, please see page 1. The cost is $90 for the first child, and $60 for every sibling thereafter.
If you are interested in joining the swim team, please see the Sign Up section below. Every new swimmer is welcome on our team, regardless of ability or prior experience. The coaches will make the final decision regarding specific team placement with your child’s best interest in mind.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop by the pool to see me.
